CHILDREN IN HAITI HIT BY CHOLERA AS MALNUTRITION RISES

CHOLERA OUTBREAK
In 2018 Haiti was declared free of cholera disease after 8 years of massive action against this disease since its outbreak immediately after the devastating earthquake in 2010.
Unfortunately, since October 2022 we are facing a resurgence of this disease in many areas of the country.

Last year, hundreds of child sponsors rounded up their monthly gifts to help Food for the Hungry (FH) respond quickly to urgent situations where children are at risk. With this support, we responded to children’s needs in dangerous contexts, including a violent earthquake, magnitude 7.2 in Haiti.
