With the aim of reducing post-harvest losses and promoting income-generating activities in the communities where FH Haiti works in Belladère, the Livelihoods sector trained 20 beneficiaries on basic food processing techniques, mainly fruits ,vegetables and milk. During 4 intensive days of training, they learned and practiced the techniques of preserving fruit juices and milk by pasteurization and the transformation of plantain bananas into chips. These techniques allow these products to be stored without refrigeration for 4 to 6 months.
